Petry (with his musical partners John Powell and Gavin Greenaway) was commissioned by the German National Gallery to write and direct a performance art opera An Englishman, an Irishman and a Frenchman, on the lives of Auden, Wilde, and Cocteau. Petry continues to make performance work including Brothers for the 1st London Biennale.
