Watch This Space by Thomas Cuckle

A performance / installation sited within the Phase II building in April 2005. Watch This Space uses images taken from the archives held in the library at Cat Hill. Archive photographs of four major areas of the main building fall into two groups; a series of medium format transparencies of the spaces soon after completion of the Peter Green Building and site photos taken during construction.

Each day a large black and white print is pinned on to a notice board situated in a main corridor of the building. As the day progresses another print, divided into sections, is pinned over the first, each new section appearing after a timed interval. The café, the graphics studio, the lecture hall and the library are each shown in use by students before being overwritten by phases in their construction.
