Mobile Ballroom was a performance / intervention inspired by the mobile clubbing phenomenon, and formed part of Golden (Lessons), an exhibition and research residency at Beaconsfield, London, punctuated by a series of live events and performance interventions. Golden (Lessons) took up motifs of ballroom and song as vehicles of nostalgia, aspiration and cultivation, continuing an ongoing series of works exploring nostalgia, aspiration and diaspora, under the rubric Golden. For Mobile Ballroom e-flyers were circulated with the following instructions and tips:
